We make the other kind.

The replacement is the business model. We build the other way round — a short catalogue, expensive tooling, and objects boring enough to keep for thirty years.

Every one leaves with its own measured mass and the name of the person who finished it.

Process

Source

We buy from four quarries and two mills, all of which we have visited. No material enters the workshop without a documented origin. If we cannot name the seam it came out of, we do not use it.

Form

Everything is turned or cut on tooling we own and maintain. The tooling is the expensive part and it is also the reason the catalogue is short. A new object means a new fixture, and a fixture takes a season.

Finish

Hand-finished, then weighed, then signed. The weight printed on your object is that object’s weight, not the batch average. The name on the card is the person who put it there.
